Tropical Cyclones
Cyclones are tropical storms that form in the Indian Ocean. They are formed when the ocean is at its hottest point, that its around 27°. Gas in the air over the ocean starts heating so it starts to rise. Then, a centre of low pressure appears and sucks air to the center. Wind starts to increase its speed around the center at about 150kph in a circular swirl of cloud. All around the cyclone there are torrential rains from the cúmulo-nimbus clouds, while in the center it is calm and dry. As this cyclones can destruct almost everything depending on their power, a scale was created to know how destructive can a cyclone be and there are 5 levels. Obviously, this huge storms can affect humans. Some of the things they cause are: loss of life, destruction of houses and buildings, makes roads and bridges to be interrupted and floods which also contain infectious bacterias transporting diseases. If we want to be prepared for a situation like this, we need to evacuate if necessary, keep a considerable amount of food and water in case you cant go out for a long time, be knowledge about how to behave in this conditions and be sure of have radios and full bateries in case comunications services stop working.
